About Me
From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors. Some of my best memories are of the adventurous bike rides and camping trips my dad took me and my brothers on. Despite the scraped knees, bug bites, and soggy tents, my passion for outdoor activities has remained unwavering.
As an athlete and outdoor enthusiast who has dealt with injuries, surgeries, and repetitive strain, I’ve learned what truly works for long-term recovery and pain management. This journey led me to a unique approach to bodywork that has been incredibly effective for me and my clients.
I’m a massage therapist specializing in a brain-based musculoskeletal approach. Ever stretched or foam-rolled an area only to find the relief short-lived? It might feel good in the moment, but the results don’t last. This is because our brain wants us to pay attention to the area. Tight muscles are often dysfunctional and need a different kind of focus. Sometimes, tightness isn’t about needing more length but rather about needing strength.
In my sessions, I assess your condition through movement and tap into your nervous system. By using proprioceptive muscle testing, I identify which muscles are overactive and need releasing and which are underactive and need strengthening. I’ll dive deep into anatomy with you—exploring movement patterns, muscles, ligaments, and nerves. I’m passionate about this work, and we’ll make sure it’s both enlightening and enjoyable

What is NeuroKinetic Therapy
NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) is a corrective movement system I use to identify and address faulty movement patterns your body may have adapted to function after an injury, surgery, or repetitive strain from activities or work. NKT taps into your nervous system through muscle testing to reveal these patterns.
When you experience an injury or chronic strain, your brain adapts by establishing new movement patterns to compensate, often leading to pain. By identifying which muscles are overworking and which are underworking, we can retrain and restore proper movement patterns tailored to your specific condition. This approach also applies to scars, which can be neurologically overactive and cause muscle inhibition, even if they are old.
Once we address these muscle imbalances, we follow up with targeted corrective exercises. For persistent conditions, it may take 3-5 sessions to address the layers of dysfunction built up over time. At the end of each session, we review your corrective exercise plan, which is designed to be quick and typically takes less than 5 minutes to complete. For those with repetitive job tasks, this plan might become part of a daily maintenance routine. Additionally, monthly maintenance tune-ups can be beneficial to keep everything functioning smoothly, just like any self-care routine.
